College Scholarships

I have alot to say about scholarships.

There are over 800,000 financial aid awards and scholarships available each year by an endless variety of sponsors.

Several free scholarship search services exist on the internet to help students locate money for college.

Please understand that successful scholarship research requires thorough research with extensively detailed student profiles.

The results I got for my sister were not so great. I visited the most recognized free-scholarship-search website and drew only 18 possible scholarships for her, a female honors program student with above average grades. Out of 800,000 scholarships, I was disappointed. I tried the next recommended site and got 8 results -- and some of those were duplicates!

After 5 weeks of researching and developing detailed student profile applications, I was able to draw a total of 153 potential scholarships for her: approximately 20% were duplicate listings resulting in a net listing of 119 potential scholarships. New scholarships are created all the time and as time progressed she received an average of 1 new scholarship opportunity per week.

Feeling better about these results, Global College Resource Service began its existance and now assists students by compiling and providing information regarding available scholarship money, ongoing personalized scholarship updates, and a completely detailed college preparation handbook.
